This is a bit late.  The idea was to have it for Valentines, but well…I’ll just leave it at “better late than never.”  Possessive Arthur.  Magical Merlin.  Inspired by the Loaded March series and how this sub-fandom doesn’t have nearly enough art being made for it.  I’ll have to see what I can do about that…

Merlin had sworn to serve his King until the day he dies… and so the immortal sorcerer waited. Over a thousand years pass, feeling like an eternity, before… at last… Arthur returns from Avalon. 

I finished this piece about a month ago for the Merlin Art Fest and am so excited to finally share it here personally! The prompt was “hug” so I thought a post 5x13 reunion scene would be just perfect to portray… Well, when Lancelot came back from the dead, he didn’t have anything on! Why should Arthur? I wasn’t just too lazy to paint his armour… Anyway, the squick for this prompt was “girly men”, so why not show off some bare muscle along with Merlin’s scruffiness? Hope you enjoy! ^^
