And they were surprisingly good.
I’ll admit Siren was nothing more than Eoin Macken running around without a shirt on, and being all sexy—which believe me, is not a problem. But it was good, despite the creepy chick and that weird Marco guy. I won’t spoil it for those out there who haven’t seen it or are planning to rent it, but I was enjoying seeing him play a boyfriend and actually kissing someone.
Studs was freaking amazing. I was never really into football/soccer until 2010, when my sister and I spent our trip to San Diego watching the FIFA World Cup. But now, I cannot get enough of it. And watching a bunch of Irish guys running around kicking a ball, and yelling so much their Irish accents made you unable to understand what they were saying to each other, it’s just really fun. And again, it doesn’t hurt that Eoin was his usual handsome self. But he’s also an amazing football player. He really knows how to head-butt a ball, and kick it. I just find athletes ridiculously attractive. Especially in football/soccer, where they run around like animals kicking and head-butting balls (I am sorry, I don’t know the appropriate term for using your head to hit the ball). Also, Emmett Scanlan is hilarious, which I already knew from the Christian Blake commentary video Eoin posted on YouTube.
So…yeah. Anyone else seen the movies? I know they’re panned on Netflix, but I thought they were good. Maybe I am not as discerning towards British films as my other compatriots (and I am not saying all of us Americans think European movies suck).
